Proposed mixed-use development currently under review by SCAP, designed to bring both architectural character and social impact to Churchill Road.

This five-level building (plus basement) has been carefully considered to respond to its corner site, establishing a strong yet refined presence within the streetscape. A contemporary building drawing on subtle Art Deco influences and echoing their timeless qualities, the design embraces a sense of solidity at the lower levels, grounding the building through material weight and form.

A key driver of the project is the integration of NDIS apartments, including provision for private accommodation for carers. The design prioritises dignity, accessibility, and independence, seamlessly incorporating Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) within a cohesive architectural expression.

The façade composition balances solid and void, with a rhythmic arrangement of window openings that articulate the SDA levels while maintaining visual interest. At ground level, gentle curves soften the building edge, helping to define entry points and enhance the interface with the public realm, including an activated commercial tenancy along Churchill Road.

On the upper levels, batten and board cladding introduces texture and depth, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow while clearly distinguishing the residential levels.

This project reflects a collaborative client vision, one that embraces thoughtful design and aspires to set a new benchmark for development along Churchill Road.
