Using The Building Company and Mavtect Designs, Lauren and Jason were able to stay within the requirements of the council – that the extension could not be visible from the street – and execute the renovations with all of their “must haves”.

We’re proud to share that Mavtect Designs is now officially registered with the Architectural Board of South Australia, following our Director Elia Mavrou’s successful completion of the Experienced Practitioner Pathway to registration.

This milestone is a meaningful step in our firm’s growth journey; one driven by our commitment to professional development and the continued evolution of our design capability.

Mavtect Designs are proud to be collaborating with one of Adelaide’s most celebrated hospitality families, the Nguyens, to bring their biggest venture yet, Modachau, to life.

This project embodies our passion for crafting spaces that tell stories, celebrate culture, and bring people together.

Together with architect Elia Mavrou from Mavtect Designs, Georgie extended the informal living wing while also removing internal walls to form a generous open plan, including living and dining areas, a huge kitchen with an island bench and a powder room, mud room and butler’s pantry. These spaces now connect to the alfresco entertaining area and pool through a bank of arched French doors.

We were proud to attend the 2025 HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards on Saturday the 17th of May, held at the iconic Crown Towers in Melbourne – a night that brought together Australia’s best in residential construction and design to celebrate innovation, craftsmanship, and excellence across our industry.

The home was crowned Australia’s most viewed home on realestate.com.au and is expected to sell well over $4m, eclipsing the current suburb record, set in 2021, by at least $2.32m.

Set on a spacious 1724sqm allotment, the home was reimagined in collaboration with Georgie Shepherd Interior Design and Mavtect Designs.

The owners of Dulwich House wanted to enliven their existing heritage home as a capture of its past while creating the ideal base for their current lives and chapters to come.
