Under The Sun Cellar Door

A contemporary addition to the existing Old Coach Road property in Aldinga, home to a vibrant local Thai restaurant and the Under The Sun Cellar Door. Designed to complement the existing heritage buildings whilst creating its own statement, the new building pairs aluminium timber-look battens, Axon cladding and steel to create a refined architectural form that feels both bold and enduring.

Internally, the material palette was curated to bring the outside in. Vertical timber panelling, dark joinery, gunmetal finishes and moody tones create depth and warmth.

Together, the architecture and interiors form a cohesive expression of contemporary design – quietly sophisticated, tactile and deeply connected to its surroundings.
